About the Writer
Priyanka Meena (known as Piya) is a fashion artist and model by profession, and an aspiring writer. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the esteemed St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, establishing a strong academic foundation. She is currently deepening her research and critical thinking as she pursues a Ph.D. in Jaipur, grounding her creative work in scholarly excellence.
The writing journey
Writing has always been more than an interest ; it is the private pulse of her passion, a practice cultivated since childhood. Her early voice took shape in the pages of school magazines with poems and stories, guided by a literary lineage both classic and contemporary. She draws inspiration from the disciplined poetry of Shakespeare, the modernist currents of Virginia Woolf, the social commentary of Dickens, the emotional depths of Emily Brontë and Jane Austen, the philosophical clarity of Ayn Rand, and the quiet beauty of Ruskin Bond.
In 2024, Piya formalized her ambition by participating in the prestigious Class of Fellows at South-Asian Speaks, a literary mentorship program that recognizes and cultivates emerging voices. This dedicated step marks her transition from a private passion to a focused ambition, signaling her commitment to crafting powerful and resonant works for a global audience.

From Pose to Pen
The world of fashion, runway, and editorial work is, at its core, a world of storytelling. Every frame, every collection, and every pose demands that she convey a character, a mood, or an entire narrative in a single, powerful moment. This discipline—the ability to distill a complex idea into sharp focus—is the same rigor she brings to her writings. As a model, she interpret a designer’s vision; as a writer, she creates her own.
